USC ASCE members are\u00a0<em>strongly<\/em>\u00a0encouraged to also\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.asce.org\/membership\/student\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">become national ASCE members<\/a>\u00a0(free for students). You are\u00a0<em>required<\/em>\u00a0to be a national member to attend any events or conferences (such as\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/uscasce.com\/pacific-southwest-conference\/\">PSWC<\/a>) with our chapter.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/join.asce.org\/student\/undergraduate.aspx?purl=newsletter\">National ASCE memberships must be renewed<\/a>\u00a0on an annual basis.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/secure.asce.org\/ASCEWebsite\/Secure\/SignIn\/SignIn.aspx?ASCEURL=http%3a%2f%2fwww.asce.org%2fpplcontentwide.aspx%3fid%3d9641\">Make sure your membership is current!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"national\">National Membership Instructions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You will need an active national membership number to attend most professional events as well as conferences like PSWC. If you give us your number on your membership form, we won\u2019t have to ask for it again this year. To create\/find a number:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>If you\u2019re a returning\u00a0member, log in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/secure.asce.org\/ASCEWebsite\/Secure\/SignIn\/SignIn.aspx?ASCEURL=http%3a%2f%2fwww.asce.org%2fmembers%2fuserprofile.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<ul><li>Click on \u201cEdit Personal Information\u201d, which takes you to your actual profile.<\/li><li>Go to the \u201cMemberships\u201d tab.<\/li><li>Under \u201cMembership\u00a0Details\u201d, your\u00a0membership\u00a0ID and status are displayed. If your status is not \u201cactive\u201d, please go to the new\u00a0member\u00a0link and re-fill out that form (it should pull in all of your existing details after the first step). Note that this will change your\u00a0membership\u00a0number if there was one listed.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>If new\u00a0member, go\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.asce.org\/membership\/student\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<ul><li>Be sure to select \u201cstudent\u201d\u00a0membership\u00a0when filling out the application, and pick one of the institutes that relates to your emphasis. The national\u00a0membership\u00a0is\u00a0<strong>free<\/strong>\u00a0for students.<\/li><li>Once the application is complete, make sure you\u2019re logged in, and go through the \u201creturning\u00a0member\u201d steps to find your ID number.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"mailing-list\">Join Our Mailing List!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can sign up for our general mailing list below. We send weekly newsletters and occasionally other reminders in between.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Subscribe to our Calendars<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/uscasce.com\/calendars\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Please visit the calendar page to view\/subscribe to our calendars<\/a>.
