Cello Expressions Random Music Generator, version 0.1

This is an early version from 2013 (minor update in 2025 to fix a typo that prevented the note-favoring logic from applying in the tonal option). You can specify the length of the piece in measures (4/4 time) and the number of parts (cellos).

This generator creates a music xml file. This is a cross-platform format that most music notation software can read.

Tonality (keep in mind that resuts are random):
Tonal (no acidentals, favors root, 3rd, 5th)
Atonalish (favors naturals, root, 3rd, 5th)
All-out Atonal (all 12 notes are fair game)
