Fully-formed bridge between Buildings 4 & 9, looking south toward the plaza.

The bridge doesn’t seem level on the side that connects to Building 9 here on the left. I first noticed it in one if the recent videos but thought it might be the perspective. I can see that 4 and 9 aren’t exactly the same height but I have to assume this bridge will connect once it’s fully built out. Any ideas on this one?
Good observation! While the design called for an internal staircase at one point, the alignment is offset too much and the concrete moment frame beams are too large to make that feasible. I think the fact that Building 4 is freshman housing and 9 is for upperclassmen also factored into the decision to keep the buildings separate. The bridge will have a study room accessible from Building 4.
Thanks for the reply! I think its a bit of a lost opportunity to build a ‘bridge to nowhere’ and negate the connection between the buildings. Even if they are different classes, there are opportunities to socialize, use facilities, etc which could be explored more easily. Plus it would actual be useful rather than just for show (study room aside). Anyway, its a quirk that will probably be added to the student tour guides script when it opens. 😉
