The new staircase / bike room at CDK plaza, and a new dropoff canopy:

This is the first completed project where I was involved in structural design at KPFF. The stair is cast-in-place mild-reinforced concrete with a canted concrete guardrail; it spans between the existing parking on grade and an existing elevated plaza. The bike room is framed with steel panels with Ipe slats, suspended from the stair structure. The canopy features a cantilevered steel structure with a glass roof and Ipe screen.
