This arrangement of the full three-movement Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 is derived directly from the original ten-part score. With the 3×3 structure of the original orchestration, the violin II and viola parts alternate between violin, viola, and cello parts from the original setting, and doubling is applied where feasible for emphasis.

This arrangement is also available for cello quartet and in a simplified string quartet version.
