Thus, Bach’s original harmonization has been modified slightly to make each part cater to musicians of varying degrees of experience. This is the perfect arrangement for a group that combines relative beginners and professional cellists, as everyone can pick a part that is challenging. It is also a great first Bach Chorale to learn, with lots of interesting counterpoint that demonstrates all of the baroque “rules”.
