My first three etudes for cello choir provide an introductory opportunity for large groups of cellists to play ensemble music. Each etude is a single page and may be played individually or with the set. The short etudes work best for very large groups of cellists (more than two-to-a-part) and can also be played by groups as small as a quartet.
Difficulty varies by part; Cello 4 is easiest and Cello 1 is most difficult. Etudes #1 – 3 are all beginner-to-intermediate difficulty in their individual parts. Ensemble difficulty is primarily related to counting rests, becoming more difficult in Etude #2 and particularly in Etude #3.
