Largo, from Winter, from The Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi. This arrangement for cello quartet is a close adaptation of the original with a one-bar introduction and the original time signature. It leverages transposition to the key of C to reduce difficulty and better fit the range of the cello. Cello 1 plays the solo part, cello 2 plays violin 1 (entirely pizzicato), cello 3 plays portions of the violin 2 and viola parts, and cello 4 plays the cello part.
