DEO GRACIAS (also know as AGINCOURT) is based on a 15th-century English melody. This arrangement for cello ensemble presents a repetitive series of variations in a contrapuntal style.

The first two iterations pair the melody with staggered bell tones in the lower parts, layering in melodic bass pedals for support. Next, the accompaniments shift to a quick arpeggiated line alternating between two parts. These continue as the melody drops two octaves for contrast. The fifth iteration resets to a strict quarter-note pattern in both melody and accompaniment, continuing as a treble-octave part joins for the first time. Seventh, the somewhat-awkward harmonization from the English Hymnal (1906) is presented in a compressed format in the typical cello octave. This is repeated with heavy alterations as the melody jumps up to the treble octave. The ninth and final repetition recapitulates the layered eighth note accompaniments alongside a final repetition of the treble melody.
