Copyrighted Music Now Available on Sheet Music Plus

I have developed an extensive library over the past decade of arranging cello ensemble sheet music. Many of the pieces in my library are arrangements of copyrighted songs and their sheet music can’t be distributed for free. These were originally created for specific ensembles that arranged for usage rights, such as the Boulder Cello Project. I previously listed these items in my library and asked interested ensembles to coordinate ensemble-specific performance rights directly with music publishers.

I have now published updated editions of numerous arrangements through the Sheet Music Plus Arrangeme platform. While this does require groups to pay for music, it provides access to a library of newer and popular music that would otherwise be limited for cello ensembles. Pieces are set at the publisher’s minimum with most of the proceeds going to the publishers and composers of the arranged music; I receive a 10% commission for music purchased through Sheet Music Plus (which does not cover my costs of operating the sheet music library). The majority of my sheet music – everything that is original or in the public domain – remains free.

The following pieces are now available for purchase:

Most of my arrangements feature live recording excerpts (some are featured above) to depict my interpretation of the music for cellos. Depending on the level of interest in these arrangements, I may add more pieces in the future. I may also add more string quartet/trio variations depending on interest.

I have removed the other listings from my library that are not directly available for use. Rights for most of these have not been negotiated between the publishers and Sheet Music Plus. If they are added to that program in the future I will add my arrangements. In the meantime, these pieces are available for your use if you can arrange usage rights for your specific ensemble with the publisher. See my list of these arrangements here.
